I never make use of his (Devendra Fadnavis) offices: Amruta Fadnavis on music and more

MUMBAI: Social media is both boon and bane for the famous. It lets one voice opinions that can otherwise get misquoted, but it also gets instant reactions that at times lead to trolls. The first lady of Maharashtra, Amruta Fadnavis recently experienced some Twitter trolling.

Fadnavis who also happens to be a banker and social activist released her first single ‘Tere Sang’ on 31 May 2017 and it brought a hurricane of words in the Twitter world. Most Twitterati couldn’t digest the fact that Fadnavis appeared in a western outfit in the T-Series single.

Talking about the uncalled discussion over her attire Fadnavis said, “I have added responsibility as the CMs wife. There are a lot of expectations too. Therefore, I prefer being conservative and that is my preference. I took care of that in my video.”

The music video that was created by the classical singer out of pure passion also stars one of the legends of Indian cinema, Amitabh Bachchan. “When we decided on the roles of a senior professional in the video, we couldn’t think of anyone else but Mr. Bachchan,” stated Fadnavis.

Most would assume that it’s her husband, CM Devendra Fadnavis who managed to get someone like Bachchan onboard but that clearly wasn’t the case. Mrs. Fadnavis does not like making use of her husband’s post. “I prefer doing things passionately and he (Devendra Fadnavis) is happy about it. I never make use of his offices. I’d rather go forward at a slower pace,” confessed she.

She further added, “Emotionally he is there for me. Being in a position brings a lot of criticism, but if he is convinced about something, he does not care about the others.”

We completely admire Mr. CM for not just preaching concepts of equality between men and women, but being a live example.
