MUMBAI: After a super hit ‘ 2 States’, Chetan Bhagat’s next film from his novel ‘Half Girlfriend’ has been the most awaited film of this year - the songs from the film are mesmerizing.

Expectedly, the songs have played on top in most listings of the best in Bollywood lyrics.

And because the promotion is out of the box, an upcoming release has organized a music concert ‘live’. Songs like ‘Baarish’, ‘Thodi Der’, ‘Phir Bhi Tumko Chahunga’ will be heard live.

A similar concert was held by the ‘Rock On 2’ team in September last year. During that time, the team visited different cities for pre-release.

Singers and composers for ‘Half Girlfriend’ like Shreya Ghoshal, Ash King, Tanishk Bagchi, Rishi Rich, Mithoon, Rahul Mishra and more along with the star cast Shraddha Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor will be present at the event.

The singers are expected to rock the audience with their rendition of the ‘Half Girlfriend’ songs.

Also, today a new song from the film is launch on Zee Music Company ‘Mere Dil Mein’. From the three romantic songs released till date, this is a new peppy styled, hitting the hip-hop beat number.

This song is a mix of Hindi and English lyrics. Composed by Rishi Rich, the Hindi lyrics have been penned by Yash Narvekar and R. Rekhi while the English lyrics have been penned by Isihita Moitra Udhwani.

The song features Shraddha in the most glamorous looks with Arjun in a swag and chill attitude, dancing on the streets of New York City.

Talking about the newly released track, producer Ekta Kapoor said, “Audiences always look to Mohit Suri for melodious love tracks, which are beautifully included in the narrative of the film and this time, along with these songs, he’s also given a twist to the album! The title has piqued everyone’s curiosity so much that we decided to do a ‘hatke’ title track for it.”
