Boxout Wednesdays to feature drum and bass legend Philip TBC

MUMBAI: Envisioned as an online community radio from India, Boxout.fm is catering to the growing demand for alternative music in the country, since its inception (7 April 2017). As Boxout.fm has been designed to showcase sounds and styles that champion underground culture, not just in India but from around the world, Czech drum and bass producer and a veritable livewire behind the console, Philip TBC will take up the weekly residency spot at on 3 May, another edition of BoxOut Wednesdays at Summer House Café, Delhi.

In the past, UK producer Romare, who is popular for his samples-heavy productions like ‘Who Loves You’, ‘Je t’aime’ played at the two launch gigs in Delhi and Mumbai on 7 and 8 April respectively.

A DJ with an ear for sound, Philip TBC is known for his incredible track selection that could feature various styles from DNB, dubstep, hip-hop, breakbeat or even his own diverse productions. His eclectic sets are packed with turntable tricks, scratches, and a combination of DJing and live sample performance. He has played alongside some of the best in the business like Andy C, Ed Rush and Optical, Pendulum, Spor, London Electricity, Subfocus, Optiv, LTJ Bukem and even hip-hop producer DJ Shadow, and was even personally invited by Prodigy’s Liam Howlett to open for the act at Pohoda 2005.
