Aarya Gadkari eliminated from 'The Stage'; starts work on one man band concept

MUMBAI: Aarya Gadkari the youngest contestant of Colors Infinity's 'The Stage 2' got eliminated today (8 October 2010).

The young singer had it all - a musical background, looks, voice and the charm, to make it to the finale but, one important quality ‘energy’. This led to his exit from ‘The Stage’, but the singer is affirmative about his singing career.

“The elimination did come as a disappointment. But I have learnt that I need experience when it comes to performing. I did give my best on ‘The Stage’ but I was the youngest and that did not work in my favour,” explains the artist.

Gadkari who is a huge fan of Ed Sheeran, Queen, Beetles and Coldplay began training in western vocals at the age of 13, in spite of coming from a family of Indian classical musicians. “My mother’s side has been singing Indian classical for generations now. But, I was always more inclined towards western music,” confesses the artist who has taken a break from education to pursue music.

“I passed my 12th and took a year off to focus on music. I have decided to gain all the experience and learning’s that I can in this year. Fortunately, I have parents who are very supportive of my decision,” reveals the 19-year-old who is all set to work on a one man band concept.

“I have been working on the one man band concept in which I will be creating different sounds and play instruments at the same time,” says the singer who will be performing at a gig on 19 October 2016.
