BMP has become an abode to nurture new talent

MUMBAI: Extravaganza of Bollywood Music Project (BMP) has not been behind the curtains for sure.

Possibly, one of the biggest concerts, which is going to crop up for two days, Bollywood Music Project embraces the versatility in its line-up. Looking at the list of performances, we can easily get a notion, how BMP is giving an equal opportunity to the young musicians by extending their contribution to live music scene.

An entire session 'Young Stars' has especially been catalogued for the new melodies of Bollywood from 4:20 pm to 5:20 pm today (30 September 2016).

Let us introduce you to the 'shining young stars' of Bollywood Music Project.

Aakansha Sharma

The 20-year-old is an Indian singer. She gained immense popularity after participating in two reality shows on Star Plus. The winner of 'Amul Star Voice of India Chote Ustad' and also the finalist of 'Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar'.

Ami Mishra

Ami Mishra, an MBA who quit his corporate job to pursue music has an overnight succsess story. He gained success as a music composer in  'Hasi' from the film 'Hamari Adhuri Kahani'. 

Amit Mishra

Amit Mishra is an Indian music director and singer. His new song 'Bulleya' from upcoming flick 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' is garnering him immense popularity.

He is a trained musician and classical vocalist and plays a number of musical instruments. Amit also has a World Music band called 'Soham'.

Asees Kaur

Asees Kaur is an Indian playback singer who looted the hearts with 'Bol Na' from the film 'Kapoor & Sons' (2016). She has participated in various singing reality shows like 'Indian Idol' and 'Awaz Punjab Di'. Asees aspired to become a playback singer at a very young age. She started singing Gurbani at the age of 5. Since then, she has worked with various music composers on several Bollywood songs.

Bhoomi Trivedi

Bhoomi Trivedi, who began her Bollywood career with 2012 film 'Prem Mayee' with the song 'Bahne Dey' rose to fame with her rendition in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 2013 released film 'Goliyon Ki Raasleela: Ram-Leela', where she lent her voice to the song 'Ram Chahe Leela', which was picturised on Priyanka Chopra.

Brijesh Shandilya

Singer-composer Brijesh Shandilya has come a long way since he first set foot in Mumbai in 2005. Brijesh, who belongs to Basti, a district in UP, has recently sung for 'Tanu Weds Manu Returns'.

Shandilya is known for songs such as 'Oye Lucky Lucky Oye' and 'Banno Tera Swagger', among others.

Prakriti Kakar

Born in New Delhi, her career began upon singing the title song of 2012 Bollywood film 'Tutiya Dil'. Subsequently, she performed few tracks for films released in 2013, providing mostly backing vocals. She rose to widespread prominence with the release of her songs in collaboration with Ankit Tiwari, 'Katra Katra' from 'Alone' and 'Bheegh Loon' from 'Khamoshiyan'.

Shashwat Singh

Allahabad-based singer, Shashwat Singh, has debuted in Bollywood in a way that any new singer would dream of. Not only has he sung for the track ‘Wat Wat Wat’ from the Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone starrer ‘Tamasha’, but he has also worked with A.R. Rahman.

Sukriti Kakar

Sukriti Kakar shot to fame with her crooning in the title song of the Akshay Kumar – starred, 'Boss', in 2013. The song was composed by Meet Bros and featured Yo Yo Honey Singh. Kakar’s latest party anthem, 'Kar Gayi Chull' from 'Kapoor & Sons' has become a huge hit and has crossed 63 million views and counting.

Yasser Desai

Yasser Desai is a new talent. His  'Main Adhoora' from the upcoming film 'Beiman Love' is doing pretty well.

Yashita Sharma

Yashita Sharma is one of the few talents that made their way into the real world through a reality show. The singer gained recognition on Zee TV’s ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ as its first runner up and went on to make her Bollywood debut with ‘Martaba’ in ‘All The Best’. However, it was ‘Chaandaniya’ from ‘2 States’ and ‘Gallan Goodiyan’ from ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ that earned the singer recognition. With ‘Lapak Jhapak’ from the Sunny Deol starrer ‘Ghayal Once Again’, the singer is all set to reach new heights.
