Priyanka Chopra launches Ganpati songs from 'Ventilator'

MUMBAI: This year's Ganesh Chaturthi is around the corner and the occasion was just right for Priyanka Chopra to release the first song of her first production, Marathi Film ‘Ventilator’.

‘Ventilator’ is produced by Priyanka Chopra’s production house Purple Pebble Pictures. This is the first Marathi film produced by Chopra. ‘Ventilator’, currently into its post-production phase, is a family entertainer featuring an ensemble cast that includes veteran Marathi film and theatre actors. Produced by Madhu Chopra and directed by Rajesh Mapuskar, the first two songs from the movie ‘Ventilator’, ‘Ya Re Ya Saare Ya’ and ‘Jai Deva’ were officially released by Priyanka herself today on her official Twitter account.

The first song ‘Ya Re Ya Saare Ya’ is composed Rohan Pradhan and Rohan Gokhale and penned by Manoj Yadav and Shantaram Mapuskar. ‘Jai Deva’ is composed by Rohan Gokhale and Rohan Pradhan, penned by Manoj Yadav and sung by Ganesh Chandanshive, Rohan Gokhale and Rohan Pradhan. Both of the songs are high-energy dance numbers celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi festival, as the family welcomes the arrival of Lord Ganesha.

Director Rajesh Mapuskar says, “Back home in my village Shriwardhan, I’ve always heard my father and uncles singing Ya Re Ya during Ganpati celebration. It was like a wakeup call for all Bhajan mandals to worship Lord Ganesh. My uncle wrote the lyrics and composed the basic tune of mukhada but our music director Rohan Gokhale and Rohan Pradhan took this to another level. It evokes childhood nostalgia in me. I am sure it will take listeners through a ride of deep devotion and thumping rhythm.”
