2000 blockbuster 'Kala Chashma' joins revamp club

MUMBAI: Remember 'Kala Chashma', the peppty Punjabi number that had the country swaying to the track back in 2000?

Few would even remember Amar Arshi, who sang his way into listeners' hearts with those quirky lyrics and catchy beat. But the makers of 'Baar Baar Dekho' obviously remember the song and the euphoria it created, for the song will be back, in a catchier remixed version in the soon to be released film.

The first look of the song where Sidharth and Katrina are posing wearing a 'Kala Chashma' is already out and the video of the song will release on 27 July 2016.

Recently, back-to-back Punjabi songs are revamped by Bollywood musicians and singers. 'High Heels', 'Kangana', 'Kar Gayi Chul', 'Aaja Mahi' and 'Mein Tenu Samjhavan' to name a few.

It is interesting to see how Punjabi Industry is hit by surprises every other day and this has not remained limited to Punjabi music with the entry of Pollywood actor Diljit Dosanjh from the film Udta Punjab. However, we still wonder how other industries like Bhojpuri and Bengali will start making their way.
