2 million is an amazing number: Singer Aman Trikha on 'Jaaneman Aah'

MUMBAI: The success of 'Dishoom' song 'Jaaneman Aah' is the reason for the never ending smile on singer Aman Trikha's face for the last few hours. The song that starrers Parineeti Chopra in an all new slim avatar and Varun Dhawan at his notorious best crossed a million views on YouTube in less than 24 hours of its release. Now, that's a rapid achievement. Thus, Trikha who has sung the song with Antara Mitra has all the reasons to smile with the song crossing two million now.

"After 72 hours of anticipation that the song teaser created the new number is amazing," said the 'Hooka Bar' hitmaker who also happened to work with music composer Pritam for the first time. "I had been wanting to work with Pritam for a very long time. In fact, we have had a lot of jamming sessions in the past, but nothing worked then."

'Jaaneman Aah' sounds like a fun number, but it was not an easy one to sing for Trikha, who has earlier sung 'Halo Re' for 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo'. "There were a lot of briefs and notes that I had to take care of. The basic brief was that I had to go all out, to create a song that would blow one’s mind. Hence, the pitch of the song had to be really high, but overall it was a memorable experience," said Trikha who was roped in to sing the track just 20 days before its release.

However, this does not mean that the track is just a promotional one. "The song is very much a part of the film, but it was decided at the last moment. Everything happened really fast. In fact both Parineeti and Varun shot and rehearsed for the song in just 18 hours," added the singer.

'Jaaneman Aah' is a cheesy number hence, we asked the 'Aashiq Mizaaj' singer if he was comfortable singing the track to which he averred, "As a singer I've become besharam. I cannot have inhibitions while, singing a song because if I do the actual feel won't come across. For me a song is a song and I do what it requires me to."

Trikha has definately given his heart and soul to the song, but are his vocals the reason for the growing YouTube views or is it Parineeti's new look? "It's undoubtedly a catchy, addictive song, composed by Pritam Da and written by Mayur Puri. Plus there is also an excellent music programming team behind it. I feel we usually forget to appreciate the ones who create those foot tapping beats. But, at the same time Parineeti and Varun have given applaud worthy performance. Parineeti has definitely taken it to another level with her new look. Overall it’s a team effort."
