Zoheb Hassan - of the legendary Hassan siblings - releases a new single

MUMBAI: The 80s sensational duo Hassan siblings' sound and identity crossed the borders and touched the lives of an entire generation in India, and around three decades later, Zoheb Hassan – one half of the duo – released the second single of his latest solo album 'Signature'.

Zoheb Hassan, the Pakistani songwriter, released the second single, off the new album, titled ‘Sansein Meri’. Signed under EMI Pakistan, the new album marks the return of popular face and voice of Pakistan’s pop culture that dominated the non-film music scene for two decades.

‘Sansein Meri’ acts as the continuation to what the Hassan brothers achieved on the sonic front, and ‘Signature’ that took Zoheb over a decade to complete comprises of few more tracks, slated to release soon.

The untimely demise of the other half of the duo –sister Nazia – Zoheb went on a hiatus, only to make his notable return on the popular Coke Studio session. ‘Signature’ becomes first effort for Zoheb after a very long time, and although times have drastically changed, the pioneer of pop music in Pakistan surely would once again find an audience in Pakistan as well as India.
