Gerua is the first Bollywood song to cross 100 Million in the shortest duration: Pritam

MUMBAI: The romantic anthem of 2015 'Gerua' from 'Dilwale' recently crossed 100 million views on YouTube. Directed by Rohit Shetty, 'Dilwale', which also featured Varun Dhawan and Kirti Sanon in the key roles, was released on 18 December, 2015.

Pritam Chakraborty, the music director of the film has established a record with 'Gerua'. The song composed by the ace musician has become the first Bollywood song to cross 100 million mark in the shortest duration ever.

The song featuring the iconic couple, Shah Rukh Khan-Kajiol has been sung by none other than Arijit Singh and Antara Mitra. The song video also showcases some exotic locations with sizzling chemistry between Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol.

Happy about it, Pritam shared on twitter, “From what I hear, Gerua is the first Bollywood song to cross 100 Million in the shortest duration. Thank You#Gerua100Million.”

The official Twitter handle of Sony Music India shared a still from the song and tweeted, "The ethereal love song from #Dilwale crosses 100 Million views! #Gerua100Million.”

However, it looks like the most-sought-after-musician in the industry today has little time to celebrate, as he is in Madrid for IIFA 2016. Overwhelming by the news, he performed ‘Gerua’ in IIFA Rocks along with renowned Spanish musicians.

Pritam is working on yet another big project, the Aamir Khan-starrer Dangal. We hope that the maestro will hit the high chords over again.
