No plans as yet to reunite with the band: Pratichee Mohapatra

MUMBAI: Singer Pratichee Mohapatra, one of the members of the band ‘Viva’ who recently created a buzz with rumours reuniting with her band for a concert, has denied these rumours. After the Band of Boys confirmed their reunion, fans hoped to see Viva the girl gang together. However, Pratichee cleared the air by saying, “Nothing of this sort is happening right now and it would not happen in the near future either. If only everybody initiates the move, will it happen and that might happen in 3 months or can even take 10 years,” putting the rumours to rest.

Viva was the first girl band formed in 2002 through a talent show, which has broken up since then. The band composed of Pratichee Mohapatra, Neha Bhasin, Anushka Manchanda and Mahua Kamat. According to some publications, the band was supposedly reuniting for a one-night concert, but that hope has finally ended now with Mohapatra’s denial. Mohapatra is currently a member of Chikaraks- a rock band for children along with Chint2 Bhosle from Band of Boys, Manav Dhandha and Flona D’Souza, the other three members.

“Our band pays whole and sole attention on children because we think kids should consume fun, clean and education related music. Bollywood music is not for small kids as the lyrics and dance steps are quite bold. We are receiving positive reactions from parents who are happy to bring their children’s to concerts that have something fruitful for them,” informed Pratichee. The Chikaraks will be performing on February 6 and 7.
