Luke, Vishal, Benny, Chinmayi and Vasuda get together for Chennai Telethon

MUMBAI: Celebrities and commoners are going all out to help the Chennai flood victims and the latest ones to join the drive are musicians, Luke Kenny, Vishal Dadlani, Benny Dayal, Chinmayi Sripada and Vasuda Sharma. The talented quintet got together to create a song for Chennai Telethon.

The song has been composed by Kenny, arranged and produced by Arfaaz and Anurag. The lyrics have been written by Irshad Kamil ,who has earlier written lyrics for ‘Tamasha’, ‘Cocktail’, ‘Rockstar’ and many more Bollywood films. The recording for this song took place in Octavius Studio, Bandra yesterday (22 December).

Confirming the same Kenny said, “When CNN-IBN approached me for the song I knew I had to do it. Soon we had some talented people on board. We recorded the song in eight hours yesterday and it will be telecast on 24 December.”

Luke has also been sending essential commodities to the victims through NGOs. However, this is the first time that he is doing something on a creative level. “It’s wonderful to contribute artistically. Also, because I have performed in Chennai a number of times, and the response has always been positive. This time I wanted to make an effort to uplift their spirits,” explained the singer.

Chennai Telethon will be telecasted on 24 December, 2015 from 5pm to 9pm on CNN IBN.
