Eagles Of Death Metal to perform in Paris during European tour

MUMBAI: The American rock band Eagles of Death Metal announced a rescheduled tour, starting February 2016. The band had to cut short the earlier tour after the terrorist attack that killed 89 people during its performance in Bataclan in the French Capital.

Eagles of Death Metal will return to Paris with a performance on February 16 at Olympia, also called L'Olympia. The Nos Amis Tour 2016 would include Sweden, Norway, Hungary, France, Germany, Croatia, Italy, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Norway, Spain, Portugal, Poland and Denmark.

A statement by the co-founder of the band, Jesse Hughes said, “The people of Paris have always been incredible to us, and our feeling of love towards this beautiful city and its people has been reinforced a million times over this past month. Hearing the stories of the survivors, the injured and those who have lost loved ones has been overwhelming. Not returning to finish our set was never an option. We look forward to coming back in February and continuing our mission to bring rock ‘n’ roll to the world."

Survivors of the show would once again get the opportunity to see the band play in the city, for free.

The band had an emotional return to the Bataclan earlier this month, and stood by its vow to come back to the city to continue and spread 'rock n roll'. The band's performances in Europe do not end with Nos Amir Tour, as EoDM also announced it will return to the UK to play the Reading and Leeds Festival the same year.
