Megadeth to perform for 1000 lucky fans in Bengaluru

MUMBAI: American thrash metal band Megadeth will perform later this month in Bengaluru, and 1000 lucky fans from the city will get an up close view of the legends.

"We at Bacardi, have a natural affinity to great music experiences, and aim to engage our fans in ways that leave them amazed and intrigued. Megadeth is performing in a non-festival format and fans can get up and close with them," said Manish Seth, director - marketing, India and South East Asia, Bacardi, which is organising the event in association with Harley Rock Riders.

In the statement, he also added, “Audiences in Bengaluru, particularly are one of the most discerning in India when it comes to music, and we believe there couldn't have been a better city to host this performance.”

While tickets to the gig sold out within 24 hours of the announcement, organisers are trying to make room for more. Fans still have a chance to wait-list their names on Insider website.

Regarded as one of the "big four" of thrash metal, Megadeth are pioneers of the same American thrash metal scene that produced Metallica, Slayer and Anthrax.

In addition to Bengaluru, the band will also play at the Shillong and Kolkata editions of the Bacardi NH7 Weekender, as well as the Harley Rock Riders festival in Mumbai on 30 and 31 October.
