Ankit Tiwari's Nepal show postponed

MUMBAI: Ankit Tiwari’s show, which was to be held at Jawalakhel Football Ground, Nepal on 3 October has been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.

Confirming the news to Radioandmusic.com, Tiwari said, “Yes the event has been cancelled but I shall be performing in Nepal very soon.” The 25 year old intends to donate funds from the show towards the victims of the Nepal earthquake. “God has bestowed me with fame and fortune, and it is my duty to help people. If I can in some or another, I will be more than happy to,” he added.

The singer/composer is of the opinion that funds set aside for those in need, do not always end up where they should. This was one of the reasons why he decided to go to Nepal. “I would personally want to go to Nepal so that I can be assured that the money reaches the right places,” he explained. The concert is organised by PN Entertainments, and Tiwari will be performing with his band.

Prior to this, other singers like Akriti Kakar, Ustad Rashid Khan, Babul Supriyo and Anushesh Anandil, had performed in Kolkata, and donated the money to victims of the earthquake.

Apart from the concert, Tiwari is currently working on a few Bollywood projects like ‘Wazir’, ‘Airlift’ and ‘Rocky Handsome’. He also intends to come up with a single by the end of this year.
