Chris Brown granted joint custody of daughter

MUMBAI: Singer Chris Brown has been granted joint custody of his daughter Royalty.

The 26-year-old had been embroiled in a bitter court battle with Nia Guzman over their 15-month-old child for a while. According to ABC 13 News, a Houston judge has now ruled that the pair will share custody of the child.

Brown will continue to pay $2,500 a month towards child support, with the judge denying Guzman's request to increase the payments to $15,000.

Guzman previously requested full custody, claiming that Brown's parenting and lifestyle are not conducive to raising a child.

The singer has remained very active in his daughter's life, even naming his next record after her.

"My new album will be named 'Royalty'," Brown tweeted.
