Big FM is official radio partner for 10th Idea Iifa awards

MUMBAI: Reliance ADAG's Big 92.7 FM has been roped in as the official radio partner for the 10th Idea International Indian Film Academy (Iifa). The three-day event will commence from 11 June in Macau, China. This is for the second consecutive year that the radio station has been appointed as the official partner for the awards.

FM players in NE seek swift fee structure relaxation

MUMBAI: FM radio operators in the north east are lobbying hard to get their voice heard - one of TRAI's recommendations last year on third phase of private FM radio broadcasting in 2008 was the relaxation of fee structure for North-East and Jammu and Kashmir. The players, particularly in the north east, are now hoping for approval of the proposal by new Information and Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni.

Govt clears demerger of Adlabs radio business

MUMBAI: Adlabs Films Ltd informed the Bombay Stock Exchange on Tuesday that the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has given no objection certificate on May 29, to transfer operation of the FM radio licence to Reliance Unicom Ltd. This scheme of arrangement for the demerger of radio business of Adlabs Films Ltd and its transfer and vesting into Reliance Unicom Ltd was sanctioned by the Bombay High Court by its order dated April 04, 2009.
