Dell launches world's thinnest tablet in India - the Venue 8 7000

MUMBAI: Dell India recently launched a new Android powered tablet called Venue 8 7000. The consumer electronics manufacturer claims it to be the world's thinnest table available till date. In addition to the Venue 8 7000, Dell has expanded its Alienware, XPS and Inspiron series of laptops by introducing new models.

The Dell Venue 8 7000 boasts an 8-inch OLED infinity edge-to-edge display with a resolution of 1600x2560 pixels resolution. The tablet comes with a measured thickness of 6mm and houses Intel RealSense 3D Snapshot Depth camera. Dell claims the camera can provide better depth to the images so that result images retain clarity even after cropping. The tablet sports an 8MP rear camera with AutoFocus and 2MP front camera.

The Dell Venue 8 7000 is powered by a 2.3GHz Quad-core Intel Atom Z3500 processor and backed with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory.

The tablet will be available in India around July this year at a starting price of Rs. 34,999.
