These Bollywood singers tumbled upon most dreaded term "controversy"

MUMBAI: In an attempt to promote his show Chicago Mika Singh recently went on to address Pakistan as ‘Hamara Pakistan’ and this did get snowballed into a national issue. However, this is not the first time where Singh has landed himself in trouble; his name has been synonymous with controversies. But, Singh is not the only artist to be surrounded by hullabaloo; controversies are a part and parcel of celeb lives. 

Here is a list of singers who have been through controversies in the recent past -

Abhijeet Bhattacharya

Controversies are never new to singer Abhijeet, the singer has been controversy’s favourite child. Right from his fiery comment on the director Karan Johar, to his breeding and feeding comment on the Khans, to FIR for molesting a woman at Durga puja and many other such big controversies have been revolving around the singer. One of his most recent encounters was with Twitter. The singer’s Twitter account was suspended twice for making inappropriate remarks against women.

Sonu Nigam

Sonu Nigam’s Azaan tweet did see a lot of flak. The singer had taken to Twitter to express his angst against the disturbing sound of Azaan. He also went to use terms like “forced religion” and it did not go well with the Muslim community. The vice president of West Bengal United Minority Council, Syed Sha Atef Ali Al Quaderi also went on to announce a reward of Rs. 10 lakh to the one who would shave off the singers head. The dust finally settled with the singer shaving off his head and deleting his tweet.

A R Rahman

Rahman’s UK concert this year did not go as expected. The maestro had planned a special set of Tamil songs for his fans there, but his attempt to present something unique backfired. A lot of people walked out of the concert and it also led to a lot of twitter trolling.

Sona Mohapatra

The singer got into a Twitter war with actress Sonakshi Sinha, There were rumours of Singh performing at the Justin Beiber concert that was to be held in May 2017. There was no reality to piece of information but it did turn out to be an Indian version of star wars. Both the Sona’s got into a catfight that at the end turned out to be useless. The end result, however, was Sinha blocking Mohapatra from his twitter account.

Adnan Sami

The singer’s Indian citizenship has only got him closer to controversies. It all began with him being mocked by the Pakistani people for him taking the Indian citizenship. His home country once again went against him when he tweeted about the Beef issue. In fact, recently, The Game of Thorns fans too attacked the singer on Twitter for having revealed a plot of the season. The singer tried clarifying his side by stating that it was an imposter, not him.

Games
