Mumbai: Channel [V] has picked up an impressive bunch of awards at the recently held Promax & BDA World Gold Awards in New York. Guns & Roses picked up the most awards, including gold awards for best branding/image, best direction, and best use of original music for a promo. It also won silver for these two categories. Lola Boney M won the gold as well as silver for the b est branding/image campaign using one or more media, as also for best consumer promotion of the Now or Never Contest. On The Go-Hamsa won gold for best editing, as did Dance with [V] calendra for best promotional item. [V] Desi won silver for art direction and design-on air illustration.The channel also picked up bronze for best copywriting for its Presented Bai segments, which also won bronze for best promotional animation. [V] Trailers won bronze for best use of original music composition for a promo.
The music channel managed seven Gold, seven Silver and three Bronze awards at the NY awards. Says the channel`s head honcho Amar K Deb, "These awards are sure to power the team to continue to`re-design` Indian television scenario."
