MUMBAI: Actor-singer Ayushmann Khurrana who won hearts with debut track ‘Pani Da Rang’ (Vicky Donor) reveals that ‘Tu Hi Tu’ of soon- to- be-out romantic comedy 'Nautanki Saala' is his  best rendition ever.

Muti talented Mikey McCleary has directed the music for 'Tu Hi Tu' while his second track 'Saadi Galli Aaja' is composed by Rochak Kohli and Khurrana. Speaking with Radioandmusic.com, Khurrana said, “Mikey brought the best out of me and I am happy that he gave me this song.  Out of the three tracks I have rendered so far ‘Tu Hi Tu’ has the best vocals. For the final result, we did the usual practice and then did some scratch and then gave this track. It was a big drill which was fun.”

Along with composing, McCleary has also given background score for the film. “Ayushmann is very confident in his acting and his confidence in singing is developing gradually. He is a talented singer and has got a lovely texture in his voice. He has the potential and will soon build up his confidence. This is the start for Ayushmann; we will hear lot more of him in coming years.”

McCleary who has composed for adverts and recently launched album B-Seventy, is known for reviving old bollywood music. “Mikey is a brilliant composer. He has bought a new kind of music to India. He has introduced new vocals to Indian music industry. He has been re-inventing Indian music in his own form. He has composed remix for 'So Gaya Yeh Jahan' and also given music for 'Draamebaaz' and 'Dil Ki Toh Lag Gayi',” Khurrana added.

Rohan Sippy’s Nautanki Saala, co-produced by Ramesh Sippy and Bhushan Kumar, stars Khurrana, Kunal Roy Kapoor and newcomer Pooja Salvi in pivotal roles. The film is slated to release on 12 April.
