Taylor Swift tops 2012 #039Celebs Gone Good#039 list

MUMBAI: Pop beauty Taylor Swift topped the list of 2012’s most charitable US celebs — by donating $4 million to the Country Music Hall of Fame. Swift topped ‘Top 20 Celebs Gone Good of 2012’ list of DoSomething.org, an organization that gets teens involved in social change. This year, she also became the youngest-ever recipient of the Robert. F Kennedy Ripple of Hope Award.

Miley Cyrus came in at No 2, for her work supporting the Saving Spot! Rescue nonprofit that finds homes for dogs in animal shelters in line to be put to death. Other pop artists who made the Top 10 are Lady Gaga (No 4), Justin Bieber (No 5), Pink (No 7) and Selena Gomez (No 9). Gomez worked at children's hospitals all over America. She also raised $200,000 at her annual UNICEF concert. Lady Gaga topped the list of Sandy celebrity donators by giving $1 million to the American Red Cross. 

Hip-hop/R&B power couple Jay-Z and Beyoncé appear in the No 11 spot, followed by  Demi Lovato at No 16 and Carrie Underwood at No 17, among the pop musicians in the Top 20.
