MUMBAI: Super Cassettes Industries Limited (T-Series) has confiscated over 1,35,000 CDs during a major raid conducted in association with the Jharkhand police in Ranibagh, Ramgarh. Finally, T-Series senior officers YP Singh, Lakshman Prasad and Vinod Kumar along with police officers led by Mahendra Singh Munda conducted the raid.

The seized material is currently in the custody of the area police station. The  police have also registered a case in this connection under the Copyrights Act, 1957 against the accused persons named Sukhdev Mahto; Kranti Mahto; Pranti Mahto and Prem Kumar.

Commenting on the raid, T-Series creative director Divya Khosla Kumar, who had earlier brought out an anti-piracy album to curb piracy says, "We at T-Series, have always taken a very strong stand against piracy and these raids serve as deterrents to others who make a business of piracy who cause great revenue loss to the country. But this will be controlled when each of us are vigilant and tip off against these miscreants, thus doing our duty as Indian citizens to curb this menace."
