MUMBAI: After announcing about the major films for the year 2013, T-series that is also a successful label company has announced the name of the director for the film Roy.  Upcoming romantic-action-drama flick is Vikramjeet Singh’s directorial venture and will go on floors by November this year.

Singh was an investment banker in the past. According to sources, Singh had planned this film two-three years back; but due to the differences with the producers film didn’t hit the floor. But now, when he approached Bhushan Kumar things fell in place for him.

Post the success of Aashiqui 2, T-Series CMD Bhushan Kumar had made the announcement about the long list of big and medium budget films of varied genres.

Kapoor and Kumar have been associated for the first time with this film. The source says, “Bhushan has discussed another script with Ranbir which the Kapoor boy has liked. We might hear some news soon about their new film together.”

Ranbir Kapoor plays the title role in the film. He is quite enthusiastic with the script and his role. Bhushan and Ranbir have struck a cordial relationship and are quite excited with their first association together.

According to the production house, Roy is slated to release on 20 June 2014. Kapoor is playing the lead along with Arjun Rampal. Jacqueline Fernandez will have a double role in this film.
