MUMBAI:  Internet rage ‘Why This Kolaveri Di’ has been shortlisted from India for the Asian Marketing Effectiveness Awards (AME) 2012.

The campaign produced by Sony Music Digital Marketing Team/Jack in The Box Worldwide has been shortlisted in two categories namely ‘Best small budget marketing campaign’ and ‘Most effective use of interactive marketing’. Sony Music Entertainment India is the advertiser for both the campaigns.

A panel of 35 industry experts from around Asia Pacific had received 971 entries from across 17 categories. The panel chaired by Diageo Asia Pacific chief marketing officer James Thompson have shortlisted a total of 115 entries from 21 countries this year.

Asian Marketing Effectiveness Festival festival director Myriam Coupard said, "With a record year for entries and an exciting shortlist just released that features some really outstanding work, we very much look forward to welcoming the industry to the festival and awards later this month where topical issues will be discussed and the winners epitomising great effective brand marketing will be revealed."

The two-day Asian Marketing Effectiveness Festival, is a celebration of the latest thinking in marketing effectiveness and a showcase of some of the very best examples of effective brand building from around the globe. It features a compelling programme of seminars and workshops, live awards judging, multiple networking events, an exhibition and a awards presentation. The annual awards honour clients and their agencies for marketing strategies that deliver solid results to transform businesses and brands.

The Asian Marketing Effectiveness Festival takes place on 26 and 27 April 2012 in Shanghai, China and will culminate with the awards ceremony on 27 April.
