Sony Music Asia SVP - digital business Jonathan Kim quits

MUMBAI: Sony Music Entertainment Asia  senior vice-president digital business Jonathan Kim has quit the organization after working with the company for two years.

Confirming the news to Radioandmusic.com Jonathan Kim said, The journey has been both rewarding and enlightening. As you know, the music industry is filled with amazing talents and people who love to work with them. I was grateful to be able to contribute to the digital business of SME ....

Kim's last working day at the music company was 4 August, and after taking a few weeks off will be joining Samsung early September.

Prior to joining Sony Music in August 2009, Jonathan helped lead venture investment activities in mobile and digital media industries for Crosslink Capital in San Francisco. In 2003, Jonathan joined WiderThan Inc. as global business general manager where he helped launch digital music entertainment services for global mobile carriers, including Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Bharti, and Vodafone. Jonathan founded one of the first mobile commerce companies in the US and also led the European business unit for Qualcomm, where he was responsible for all sales and marketing, joint venture, and investment activities.
