Sony Music acquires audio rights of Kochadaiyaan

Mumbai: Sony Music Entertainment, has acquired the music rights of Rajnikanth starrer 'Kochadaiyaan'.

The music has been composed by AR Rahman and penned by Vairamuthu. Rajnikanth has also contributed to the soundtrack by singing Hindi version of the title song with Rahman.

Sony Music India south head Ashok Parwani said, "We are extremely excited to be associated with one of the biggest projects that not only appeals to the audiences in the south but to fans all over the world. With such an incredible star cast and India’s best music director the movie positions itself to be a wholesome entertainer. This is a very special project for us and we will weave in innovative marketing elements into the campaign to connect with the youth and the fans at large."

The film, which has been directed by Rajnikanth’s daughter Soundarya R Ashwin, is expected to hit the screens in September. It also marks the Kollywood debut of bollywood actress Deepika Padukone.
