Saregama to unveil Sophie Choudry#039s track #039Hungama Ho Gaya#039

MUMBAI: Expanding its repertoire of non-film music, Saregama has geared up to launch singer-songwriter Sophie Choudry’s music video ‘Hungama Ho Gaya’ in the digital market next week.

The track which is a remixed version of a yesteryear song of the same name has been composed by the singer herself and encompasses a pop-club feel. The music video has been shot in a popular Mumbai nightclub showcasing her in a daring avatar and is directed by Shiraz Bhattacharya.

Choudry said, “People don’t buy albums, they buy songs so I am releasing a digital single. The effort for one song has been the same as the album but I think it's one of my best works and I’m super proud to be the producer.”

The association marks the first ever digital single to be released by the songstress on the platform.

SaReGaMa India Ltd business head Adarsh Gupta said, “We are  happy to launch Sophie for the first time on  Saregama with the track ‘Hungama Ho Gaya’ . She’s one of the most popular names in the music fraternity with maximum hits in the remix genre.  ‘Hungama Ho Gaya’ is to me her best work till date, and is sure to set the dance floors on fire.”

Former MTV VJ and anchor, the songstress recently rendered the track ‘It’s all about tonight’ from the film ‘Ishkq in Paris’ for which she received rave reviews. Her last released album was Sound of Sophie in December 2009, which comprised of only original numbers. The album featured collaborative tracks with well known music composers like Rishi Rich, Bappi Lahiri, Biddu and Gaurav Das Gupta.
