MUMBAI: After bagging nine awards at the India Radio Forum, Big FM Mumbai added another feather to its cap with its morning jock RJ Harssh Singh winning the Bharat Ratna Dr Ambedkar award for ‘Best RJ’.

The station's breakfast show host won the top honour for being the best jock on-air. Cementing his position as one of the most loved RJs in the city, RJ Harssh hosts the show ‘Morning Wala Harssh’ everyday between 7-11am which amplifies his popularity with Mumbaikars.

Launched in October 2012, the show has found a constant connect with Mumbai’s on-the-go populace. It showcases problems faced by Mumbaikars on a daily basis, as the jock attempts to bring change to their lives.

Commenting on the win, Big FM business head Ashwin Padmanabhan said, “We would like to congratulate RJ Harssh on winning the coveted Bharat Ratna Dr Ambedkar Award for the Best RJ. Since its launch, ‘Morning Wala Harssh’ has evolved to present listeners with multiple opportunities to address issues that affect the lives of the common man in an engaging format. The award serves as a motivation to not only RJ Harssh but also the entire Big FM team to explore newer avenues to keep our listeners entertained.”
