Rahman inaugurates studios at Whistling Woods International

MUMBAI: Music maestro A.R. Rahman inaugurated TV studios and the sound recording rooms of Subhash Ghai`s film school Whistling Woods International on 15 March.

Also present at the event were director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and director Vishal Bharadwaj along with many distinguished members of the entertainment industry.

Speaking on the occasion Rahman said, "How fortunate the students are, when I was 11, I wanted to go to Berklee College of music but couldn`t go there. I was forced to be with 50 year olds who wouldn`t be really serious. But now students have an option of learning specialized fields from here and it is one of the finest film schools in the world".

The new state-of-the-art Film and TV studios and the Audeus Block includes:- 40`x60`, Double Height, Air-conditioned, Film shooting studio- 40`x60`, Double Height, Acoustically treated, Air-conditioned Television shooting studio with a fully motorised Canara lighting grid with separate control rooms for sound, lights & video recording.- 48 Track, 5.1 surround Music Recording Studio - 1 Digital Audio Workstation suite - A Midi Lab- A Non-Linear DV/HDV Edit Lab
