Radio One restructures senior team Rajeev Bhandari is COO

* Shyju Varkey elevated to VP Mktg

* Pune Station Director Sabina Sanghvi to also develop education sector

* All 7 Station heads now Station Directors

MUMBAI: Radio One, which prides itself for being India's only music station, has announced the elevation of its key team members starting with Rajeev Bhandari who is now COO, up from National Sales Head. He will now be the business head of the Radio play and will continue to report into the Managing Director, Vineet Singh Hukmani. Rajeev Bhandari has handed over his station responsibilities of Delhi to Rajesh Ranjan, who is now elevated to Station Director Delhi, and Eathesham Azam, who becomes Station Director Kolkata.

To re-align sales at the national level for exponential growth, the company has elevated Arun Sequeira as National Head Retail Sales and Saurabh Sehgal as National Head Corporate Sales. Both these gentlemen are experts in their chosen areas and will now lead the sales charge in a focused and innovative manner across our 7-city sales teams,... Hukmani said.

The other senior elevations are Shyju Varkey who is promoted to Vice President Marketing. He continues to look after his Station Head - Bangalore role along with his National Marketing head role. Shyju has bought in a lot of disruptive but research-based  thinking, used our brand ambassadors Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy very well, and brought alive our â€?music focus' both, in media and on-ground. He and his team have excelled in building some great music- and cricket properties for us,... Hukmani said.

The company had recently de-centralized its city based operations, paving the way for better performance at the city level. Sabina Sanghvi, Station Director - Pune, has been given additional responsibility to develop the education sector. Station heads across the 7 cities of Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Ahmedabad and Pune have been promoted to Station directors as they have met challenges and the stations' financial performance has improved.

The company conducts an annual employee satisfaction survey ESAT, and has continuously recorded over 90 percent satisfaction levels in its employees. The attrition levels recorded have been lower than 4%.
