Radio Mirchi upgrades transmission in Mumbai

MUMBAI: Entertainment Network (India) Limited (ENIL) promoted Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM has shifted to a new transmission tower in Mumbai.

With the transmission point now being at 135 meters (along with the building height and transmitter), it will ensure crystal clear sound clarity of the radio station for listeners, while even on the move.

Radio Mirchi Mumbai station director Sujata Bhatt said, "The new tower will enable our listeners to enjoy their favourite radios station even better by ensuring excellent quality transmission from our end, no matter where they are, irrespective of any barriers."

She added, "Certain suburban areas like Mulund, Dahisar, Borivilli, Kandivili, Malad, Navi Mumbai and Thane will be the major beneficiaries of this new move and we will be able to reach out to one and all."

Radio Mirchi is currently operational in 26 cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Indore, Ahmedabad, Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Jaipur, Patna, Jalandhar, Goa, Baroda, Bhopal, Kanpur, Rajkot, Nashik, Varanasi, Aurangabad, Lucknow, Surat, Kolhapur, Madurai, Nagpur and Vishakhapatnam. Shortly, the station will be operational in 6 more cities and in total have 32 radio stations in the country.
