MUMBAI: Radio City has once again ranked among the top five companies list in the ‘Great Places to Work’ - Rewards & Recognition category. The radio station, that has consistently represented the media & entertainment sector on the list is featured, alongside companies like Intel, American Express and NTPC.

Radio City CEO  Apurva Purohit said, “This recognition speaks volumes about the best practices followed in Radio City. This is a moment of great pride and achievement for us.  The recognition is indicative of the efforts put in by our management team to keep Radio City an exciting and invigorating place. It upholds a culture that makes every Radio Citizen feel that he/she is a part of a ‘great place to work’. We consider the talent pool as our capital asset. We believe a scientific system of reward and recognition can encourage this immense and diverse talent pool.”

The station claims that its major highlight this year, has been the launch of the ‘innovation’ project. Entries were invited from employees for innovative ideas across a cross section of functions. An overwhelming response saw hundreds of entries coming in, the best of which was awarded with a cash prize along with due recognition by the CEO.  ‘Kick Start Wednesday’ was introduced specifically for the innovation project where half a day, every second Wednesday of the month was set aside to brainstorm ideas for innovation.

Moreover, the ‘Jaldi 5’ award for management trainees are rewarded to the early spurts of talent after the first five months of joining. Special initiatives like cross functional teams (CFT), ‘Xchange and Xcel’, ‘Cheers to peers’, ‘City in Sync’ make sure the information flow in the organization is unabated. The ‘rainmaker’ award was specially introduced last year to honour outstanding contribution to the organization.
