NEW DELHI: Zee Cinema has appointed Radio City 91.1 FM as its radio partner for 'Klub MJ Hunt'.
Initiated by Zee Cinema, 'Klub MJ Hunt' is the search for India's first movie jockey to host the channel's Bollywood show, Klub.
Zee Cinema business head Mohan Gopinath said, "Besides watching the movie, people are always curious to know of what goes behind the scenes and nuggets of their favourite actors. The MJ would be a total Hindi Cinema lover."
Zee Cinema is conducting the talent hunt in Delhi, Lucknow and Mumbai.
As part of its association, Radio City 91.1 FM has identified one lucky listener from each of these cities through an on-air contest. The lucky listener has bagged a wild-card entry as a finalist in the auditions.
The winners include Varun Handa from Delhi, Ritesh Luthra from Mumbai and Faryal Khan from Lucknow.
The channel has roped in Mohan Kapoor and Rageshwari to be on the judges' panel for the auditions. Eight finalists from across the country will participate in the finale in Mumbai after a series of auditions and screen tests.
The event is being promoted through on-ground activities and below-the-line (BTL) promotions in each of the regions and also across the country with an on-air promotion on the network channels.
Prior to this, the channel has also undertaken a slew of interactive initiatives like 'Shanivaar Ki Raat Online Game' and 'Malamaal Diwali contest'.
