My FM adds three trophies on its mantle

MUMBAI: Leaving behind major FM broadcasters in the rat race, My FM has added three trophies on its mantle. Attracting the best companies from Asia, the network bagged the 'Radio Station of the Year' trophy at the recently held 'Asian Leadership Awards' in Dubai.

Apart from that, it also received the 'Brand Excellence in Media & Entertainment' award at the 'Global Awards for Brand Excellence' in Mumbai organized by the World Brand Congress. It shared the award with SAB and Movies Now in the category.

The station also bagged the 'Best Mobile Application' title in the media category for its new and innovative initiatives in the mobile application space, at the 'Mobby's Awards' held in Mumbai.

My FM CEO Harish Bhatia said,"I am extremely elated with the recent award wins and the industry recognition for the brand. It not only showcases the growing preference of the brand among its listeners but also strengthens our belief in the localized approach we take in the markets we operate in to reach out to our listeners. With the recent award wins,  My FM has not only spelt out its brand pull but also the prominent position that it has taken in India’s radio market."

The winning mobile application has features like 'My Connect' allowing users to access their city-specific social media platforms, 'My Message' where one can send a song request or contest participation with a one touch key and 'My Download' where users can download My FM tones as their mobile ringtones.

Continuously pioneering innovations in the radio industry through its unique programming and listener initiatives, some award winning initiatives by the station include City Ka Campus Star, college talent hunt with VJ Rannvijay, that encouraged youngsters to explore radio to display their talent and become brand ambassadors in their own colleges.

Ek Koshish – Ek Rupiya Abhiyaan engaged listeners to donate one rupee each for the surgery of an ailing child, in need of immediate medical attention, and effectively mobilize funds to save their lives.

Also, the My Music Marathon aimed at setting an unprecedented example of the passion of music lovers and creating an experience that celebrates music with listeners around ‘world music day’. The network also created a Limca record for this feat that was orchestrated simultaneously across stations.
