Music Today`s musical night by Shubha Mudgal

MUMBAI : Another musical event by Music Today, `Music of Mystics` a repertoire of mystic poetry composed by Shubha Mudgal, was performed by her on 26 May at Taj President, Mumbai.

The classical evening witnessed Shubha Mudgal along with her husband Aneesh Pradhan presenting a beautifully mixed fare of poetry by great poets like Kabir, Dharmadas, Paltu Saheb, Hazrat Amir Khusrau, Zaheen Shah Taji, Bedam Shah Warsi, Pemi and Sehjo Bai.

The guest of honor for the evening was music composer Aadesh Srivastava. Also enjoying the evening was Kokila Ambani along with a house full of music buffs.

"Music Today stands for excellence in Indian music and culture. With great pride, today we present Shubha Mudgal, the versatile vocalists of our nation as she presents poetry of the ancient Sufi saints in her inimitable style and resonating voice," said Music Today`s Business Director Gurmeet Singh.

Shubha Mudgal has received her training from renowned personalities such as Pandit Ram Ashreya Jha, Pandit Vinaya Chandra Maudgalya and Pandit Vasant Thakar . She has also learnt stylistic techniques from well-known maestros Pandit Jitendra Abhisheki and Pandit Kumar Gandharva.

The Event was sponsored by HSBC Premier in association with Taj President.
