Music India to launch 2 regional music channels

MUMBAI: Media Worldwide Pvt Ltd, the company which operates Music India, is planning to launch two regional music channels.

While the Bhojpuri channel will come up first, the company also plans to launch a Marathi music channel.

"The Bhojpuri music channel will be seen across the northern region whereas the Marathi channel will have a regional presence," says Shree Venkatesh Films director Mahendra Soni.

Venkatesh Films is a 50 per cent partner in Media Worldwide while the balance is held by Prashant Chothani.

Media Worldwide has already applied for licence and is awaiting government clearance.

"We hope to launch the two channels this fiscal," says Media Worldwide director Chothani.
