MTV Sound Trippin album to release on Times Music

MUMBAI: After Coke Studio and Roots, MTV is back with a new musical outtake ‘Sound Trippin’- a sound sourcing show. The channel has roped in Times Music and Docomo to release an album compilation of the show on physical and digital format.

As reported by Radioandmusic.com earlier, the show comprising of 10 episodes will release an album with songs from each episode. The tracks will be created with the help of sounds captured from various cities across the country.  The show produced by contemporary music director Sneha Khanwalkar will venture into the rural towns of India capturing the essence of community through sound and further highlighting the journey of sound to song. The locales explored on the show include Punjab, Kanpur, Varanasi, Karanataka, Goa, Assam and more.

Excited on leading the unique outtake Sneha Khanwalkar said, “I am a sound and vocal freak and I am ecstatic to be part of something different and create sound and transform it to music.  MTV is synonymous with innovations in music and I am hoping the audience will enjoy our experiment and sound trippin ride.”

MTV plans to promote the show digitally with interactive apps like ‘Intel Soundtripper’ and contest by Woodland. 'Sound Trippin' will air every Saturday from 14 April at 8.30 pm.
