Mirchi restructures Mumbai, Hyderabad teams

MUMBAI: Radio Mirchi has announced three changes in the team structure in Hyderabad and Mumbai. Indira Rangarajan has been promoted as Regional Programming Head (West and Central), while GG Jayanta is now Regional Manager Marketing – South, and Vikram Ahuja has been appointed as Cluster Head – Hyderabad.

Rangarajan, as Regional Programming Head (West and Central), will be responsible for developing engaging content for the stations in Maharashtra, Gujarat and MP, apart from handling the Mumbai station. Indira joined Radio Mirchi's first local Creative Services unit in Bombay in 2006 and was then PH of Chennai station during the launch of their new breakfast show in 2007, after which she became PH of Mumbai station (from 2007 to date). She was awarded with the Creative Professional of the year at the World Brand Congress 2009  She has also worked in leading advertising agencies like SSC&B Lintas (Bangalore) and Ogilvy and Mather (Chennai) in the creative space.

Jayanta has been associated with Radio Mirchi as Cluster Head – Andhra Pradesh since 2008. In his new role, he will focus on developing innovative marketing strategy for the southern markets. Jayanta started his journey with Radio Mirchi in 2006 and was instrumental in launching the station operations in Bangalore. A Post Graduate Diploma holder in Management from IIM-Bangalore, he has worked with O.K.S. Speciality Lubricants, Johnson and Johnson and SAIL in the past.

Ahuja began his journey at Radio Mirchi in 2003 with Chennai station and has held Marketing Head positions in New Delhi and Mumbai where he was actively involved in strengthening the Bollywood connect for brand Mirchi. In his new responsibility, he will look after the business operations of the AP cluster. He holds a Masters degree in Entertainment industry management from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA. Before joining Mirchi, he was with Sony Pictures Entertainment and FCB-ULKA.
