Ladakh to host percussion festival

MUMBAI: For fans who like to mix travel, adventure, music and supporting the cause of preserving environment, a treat is coming their way in the form of the Leh-Ladakh for 'Ladakh Confluence 2009.'

The confluence is a  four day festival 'eco-adventure and percussion festival' starting from August 28-31 which will take place takes place in the scenic surroundings of the Ladakh mountains. The festival brings together musicians, artists and green living experts from all over the globe.

The line-up scheduled to play at the festival according to the confluence.in includes Talvin Singh, Bauchklang, Kymani Marley and Qulah, Rahul Sharma, Davide Swarup, Ortal Pelleg, Rodney Branigan, Rajasthan Roots and Roberto Narain.

The festival is supported by the government and put together by Swaati Langeh, Sumant Jayakrishnan, Roshan Netalkar, Rayna Jhaveri, Sohail Arora, and Vikrant Chedda. This would be the first year of the festival.
