MUMBAI:  Popular qawwali singer Ustad Hamid Hussain's son Javed Ali is finally coming up with his debut solo album in June.

The song Jashn-E-Bahaara' in Ashutosh Gowariker's Jodhaa Akbar'(2008) has finally catapulted this singer to the A-list.

The music for the album has been scored by Nayab Raja and the lyrics are given by Ibrahim Ashq and Vijay. The name and the label of the album have not been decided yet but it will comprise eight songs, including a remix of one track.

Talking about the album, Javed says We have Western, Arabic, classical tracks in the album but they are all based on a romantic mood. The producer of the album approached me and Nayab's compositions inspired me to say yes for this album....

Some hits of Javed include songs like Ek Din Teri Raahon Mein' from the movie Naqaab'(2007); Nagaada' from the movie Jab We Met'(2007); Guzarish' from the movie Ghajini'(2008); Arziyan (Maula mere Maula) alongside Kailash Kher from the movie Delhi-6.

Apart from singing Hindi songs, Javed has also given vocals to the Tamil film industry. His Tamil tracks are mostly composed by Tamil music director Yuvan Shankar Raja which include Chinnanjirusuga Manasukkul' alongside Bella Shinde for the Tamil movie 'Kungumapoovum Konjumpuraavum'; Siragugal' from the movie Sarvam'; Aedho Saigirai' from the movie Vaamanan'; Uyire Uyire' from the movie Muthirai

I really like the Tamil lyrics and enjoy singing over there. The people there are more knowledgeable and professional. They have their unique way of working and the songs boast a different element all together. Also, unlikely in Bollywood the Tamil songs are less commercial,... remarks Ali.
