NEW DELHI: The eminent singer with the velvet voice, Jagjit Singh, is to perform for the first time in the national capital region with an orchestra of 30 musicians, aimed at creating a �Ghazal symphony.' The concert with be held on 24th April.
Singh said, I will be singing ghazals that have held a timeless appeal but these will be sung with a new treatment of music....
Asked if he was changing his style to appeal to younger audiences because his singing has so far appealed to an older generation, Singh said this was not true, and the aim of a large orchestra was only a new experiment.
Singh, who turned 70 in February, said performing with so many musicians would also be a test for him.
The concert is being organized by Trikiya Events and Entertainment.
