MUMBAI: Times Music has released an album ‘The very best of Indian Ocean’, a compilation of the best compositions from the pioneers of indie rock music.
The album consists of 10 tracks such as ‘Kandisa’, ‘Bandeh’, ‘Des Mera Rangrez Ye Babu’ and more.
Indian Ocean is an Indian rock band formed in New Delhi in 1990. Susmit Sen, Asheem Chakravarty, Rahul Ram and Amit Kilam formed the most stable and successful line-up in the band's timeline. Presently the band consists of Susmit Sen, Rahul Ram & Amit Kilam after the sad demise of Asheem Chakravarty.
Times Music signed on Indian Ocean in 1998 and the next year, the band went to Mumbai to record a new album ‘Kandisa’. Some of the other hit albums that Indian Ocean has released with Times Music include Jhini, Black Friday and Desert Rain etc.
The band recently performed at ‘Storm Festival’ and will also perform with Bangladeshi singer James on 27 Feb in Delhi.
