MUMBAI: The Government has accepted the resignation of Prasar Bharati board chairman Arun Bhatnagar.

Bhatnagar had submitted his resignation in May this year.

Earlier, the Delhi High Court had asked Bhatnagar to continue in his post in view of the case pending against BS Lali's extension as Prasar Bharati CEO in which the court wanted Bhatnagar's assistance.

Meanwhile, two other members of the Prasar Bharti board, SK Bisaria and Sunil Dang, have also left following completion of their six-year term.

Under the Prasar Bharti Act 1990, the CEO will preside over the board meeting until a new chairman is appointed.
