Dutch electro music duo W&W set dance floor ablaze at Sunburn

MUMBAI: Right from their remix of Armin van Buuren's 'This Is What It Feels Like' feat. Trevor Guthrie to creating the Amsterdam Music Festival's anthem, 'Thunder', Dutch electronic dance music (EDM) duo W&W brought their thumping music at the Sunburn festival over the weekend in Mumbai and Delhi.

Willem van Hanegam and Wardt van der Harst spoke to Radioandmusic.com's Aashay Dalvi about their music and tour across India. When asked about whether the duo follows a particular pattern while performing in various cities, van Hanegam said, "There is a checklist that we follow. We start the show with the same two songs, though we change the rest depending on the city we are playing at."

Not having played for more than a week prior to the last weekend, the 'Bigfoot' composer duo was more than excited to play at the two metropolitan cities. In addition to their collaboration with Headhunterz 'Shocker', W&W also played their original composition, 'Thunder', 'Bigfoot', 'Ghost Twon', 'Shocker' and wrapped their performance with another one of their hits 'Lift Off'. During their performance, the duo also played their remix of Icona Pop's chart-topping hit, 'I Love It' ft. Charli XCX.

Along with playing electronic dance music, W&W said that they also merge various other genres of electronic music. "We try to put in Dutch rap music, house, progressive house and trance into our music," said van der Harst.

Currently the duo is working on two other tracks, out of which one of them will be collaboration with Headhunterz and another with Hardwell and D#Mac. The record labels that they are currently signed under include Armin van Buuren's Armada Music and Hardwell's Revealed Recordings.Especially for their India tour, W&W said that they would infuse some Indian sounds into their signature hard style, electro house music.
