Divya Khosla makes short video on piracy

Mumbai: Actor Divya Khosla Kumar has produced a short video clip that hits out at pirated VCDs/DVDs, which result in huge losses in millions to the music industry. The 45 sec video shows the protagonist, television actor Manini De, a wealthy woman, being the object of mockery as a result of possessing pirated CDs.

Divya Khosla Kumar, who starred in film Ab Tumhare Hawaalen Watan Saathiyon, is married to producer and T-series honcho Bhushan Kumar. She has been more than active in her husband`s company, T-Series, and taking care of the overall administrative duties.

About her directorial debut video Divya said `Our music industry faces huge losses due to piracy, which overshadows our artistes` talent and all the hard work. Most people don`t realize the consequences when they pick up a pirated VCD or DVD. Thousands of people suffer and are even rendered homeless. I felt it was high time we stopped this murky business. And a commercial is the best way to make the public aware that they are indulging in a crime.`

The video has been created to make awareness about the product and also discourage audience from buying pirated versions.
