MUMBAI: Apparel brand Z3 and Rolling Stone Magazine are bringing together some of the best artists from around the country to celebrate the music of Deep Purple in Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai.

The event will be hosted by actor and former channel [V] VJ Luke Kenny.

The event kickstarts at Delhi on 8 October at the F Bar and Lounge where Crimson - a 'genre-no-bar band' will play the best of Deep Purple's music. Crimson have been prolific on the Delhi gig scene for a while now and band members Gaurav Balani and Aditi Singh Sharma have each carved a niche for themselves on the music scene. Balani has even worked with composers like Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy and Salim-Sulaiman.

For the Mumbai audience, popular classic-rock cover band One Night Stand will perform at Hard Rock Caf?© on October 15. One Night Stand have been entertaining crowds for more than a decade with their note-perfect renditions of bands like The Beatles, Rolling Stones, The Who, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd among others. Self-confessed Deep Purple fanatics, the band has performed all over India at festivals like Independence Rock and Rock Against Drugs.

Perfect Strangers will perform for the Chennai audience on October 25 at 10 Downing Street. Playing together for the first time as Perfect Strangers, Timothy Madhukar, Joshua Raj, Wilfred Demoz, Shyam Rao, Jim Satya, Vijji Cheyyur and Rohan Nambiar have all been part of some of the most popular bands in Chennai. Brought together by their love for Deep Purple, Perfect Strangers promises to bring the experience of a live Purple concert to Chennai.
