MUMBAI: Recreating some of the most memorable moments, Bollywood actors John Abraham, Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Khemu, Sonu Sood, Ravi Kishen and Aliya Bhatt are celebrating ‘100 years of Cinema’ with Radio City’s jocks.

Tapping the legacy of unforgettable scenes and dialogues, the RJs and the actors are re-enacting the iconic movie moments through dialogues from movies like ‘Andaaz Apna Apna’ to Sunny Deol’s ‘Dhai Kilo Ka Hath’ dialogue in ‘Damini’.

As part of the series- Talpade has donned Amrish Puri’s hat from ‘China Gate’, while Abraham mouths his opening line from ‘Jism’. Kunal Khemu, as Aamir Khan, rues, ‘aapko beti ko kidnap karna chahiye tha, aur baap se paisa mangna chahiye tha…lagta hai kaccha khiladi hai’.  Abhijit Sawant, becomes Shah Rukh Khan of ‘Darr’ professing his love for ‘Kiran’ RJ Palak. RJ Rohit Vir becomes the quintessential villain Ranjit trying to have his way with Poonam Pandey.

In keeping with the celebratory spirit, the station also held an exhibition ‘Bollywood ki Century’ in Nagpur where some of the rarest movie posters of the 100 most successful and critically acclaimed movies including the first Hindi movie ‘Raja Harishchandra’, released in 1913 were displayed.

“This centenary marks a milestone in the history of Indian cinema. Radio City is paying the tribute by recreating the golden moments. Voice acting is one of the most entertaining forms of acting and our RJs, along with the actors have done an excellent job at that. The poster exhibition in Nagpur has been a unique initiative and has been widely appreciated,” Radio City national programming head Kartik Kalla said.
