Bangalore: 92.7 Big FM, the radio arm of Reliance Broadcast Network Limited (earlier known as Reliance Media World Ltd.) has initiated a monsoon concept this rainy season called �Biggest Chatri'
This concept has been initiated by the station to bring out the fun side of Bangaloreans by capturing the mood of the season and allowing them to express their Chatri side (slang in Kannada used for witty and smart). The station will ask listeners to share their Biggest Chatri Kelsa by encouraging them to recall funny moments like changing marks on their report card to poaching their best friend's girlfriend, etc.
Bangaloreans will be rewarded for spilling beans on air about their chatri sides as 92.7 Big FM will give away prizes to the Biggest Sandalwood Chatri, the Biggest Chatri in a particular area, the biggest chatri in office etc. BIG FM also aims at awarding the Biggest Chatri of the day... award to noted celebrities like Komal, Jaggesh, Ganesh, Sharan, Sadhu, Bullet Prakash. In keeping with the mood of the season, the breakfast show will introduce a fun new segment called Retro Sawari - Retro Chatris which will profile names like Narasimha Raju, Sudhir, Dinesh etc and also run contests on them and talk to their families on air
The Chatri campaign will also translate on ground across the green city as the BIG Bus will visit popular places in Bangalore and interact with people to share their �chatriness'. The biggest and most fun chatri on-spot will be given �BIG umbrellas' & other goodies. The �Biggest Chatri' found around campuses will also be connected on-air. The shortlisted �Chatris' would battle it out at a grand finale that would be held in the city. Renowned actor Komal would judge and reward the �Biggest Chatri' of Bangalore.
