MUMBAI: Big FM Chennai's laughter show 'Take it Easy' with RJ Balaji, has completed two successful years. Commemorating the success, the station launched the first android app 'RJ Balaji application' designed by a fan to stay connected with the jock.
The customized application developed by an IT professional Harishankar, will enable Balaji to reach out to his listeners at any time, besides the allocated radio spot. This is the first ever application for an RJ.
RJ Balaji said, ”It feels good that ‘Take it Easy’ has completed two successful years and is now entering its third year. Harishankar, who developed and made me the proud owner of an android app has enabled me to connect with all of you. It is even more incredible to know that this is the first ever application for an RJ. I wish to thank all my listeners who made ‘Take it Easy’ such a big hit."
The radio jock's light-hearted humour with his ‘Cross Talk’ segment has attained widespread popularity over the internet with around 1 crore hits in social media across 197 countries, which includes over 1 crore Sound Cloud hits, 7.5 lakh profile visits, 66,000 Facebook fans and 2 million YouTube hits.
